Virginia Bibler, MT-BC, NICU MT

Owner, Clinical Director, Music Therapist

Gulf Coast Music Therapy is owned and operated by Virginia Bibler.  Virginia is a graduate of The Florida State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy in 2005. She holds the credentials MT-BC, Music Therapist Board Certified.  Virginia began her study of Music Therapy in Special Education in 2002 and has over 18 years experience in this field.  She has devoted the past 15 years to developing Music Therapy programs in Bradenton and Sarasota for children with disabilities.  In June 2008, Virginia also became nationally certified as a NICU Music Therapist after receiving specialized training in implementing Music Therapy programs in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and providing Music Therapy to premature infants.   In addition, she has completed training at the Grief and Loss Music Therapy Institute to provide music therapy and counseling in bereavement. 

Virginia is a Florida native; she grew up locally in Palmetto and settled here with her family after college.  She is an advocate for foster care and adoption.  She enjoys the moments when work overlaps personal and she is able to be involved in educating and increasing awareness about the need for foster care families and the importance of understanding the impacts of loving kids who have experienced trauma.  Virginia and her husband, Jake, have 2 beautiful girls, one biological and one adopted, and an Australian Shepherd dog.  Virginia plays violin and guitar.
