Chloe Pena Garcia, Music Therapy Intern

Chloe is a Music Therapy intern currently completing her degree at The University of Kansas, where she studies Music Therapy with a primary focus on violin. Originally from Puerto Rico, Chloe brings a rich cultural background and a deep appreciation for the emotional, developmental, and therapeutic power of music.

She is especially passionate about working with children with disabilities, using music as a tool to support communication, self-expression, social interaction, and emotional regulation. Chloe believes music can create a safe and engaging space where every child can thrive, connect, and grow at their own pace.

During her internship at GCMT, Chloe is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with families and creating meaningful, music-centered experiences that are tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. She is excited to continue learning and expanding her skills while making a positive impact in the lives of the children and families she serves.
