Hannah Jelinek, MT-BC

Hannah, a Board-Certified Music Therapist, is new to Florida and is loving the community and recreation of Sarasota. Hannah received her eclectic and expansive music therapy training from several institutions including Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, Oregon and Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Currently, Hannah is pursuing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University in Fort Myers.

Hannah’s passion for music, relationships, and healing is the backbone to her clinical work. Hannah incorporates clinical songwriting, mindfulness, Strengths-Based practices, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) into her sessions. Hannah feels strongly about mental health advocacy, education and ending the stigma. This has led her to work with various mental health populations including survivors of trauma, survivors of abuse, depression, anxiety, and grief. Additionally, Hannah has experience with Autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and traumatic brain injuries.

Hannah lives with her husband Levi, daughter Mila, and their two-year-old puppy Ivy. When Hannah is not making music or catching up on grad school homework she is often trying new recipes, on the yoga mat, reading autobiographies or listening to true crime podcasts.
